A running log of my homelab: what’s racked, what it runs, and what I’ve learned keeping it alive.

Hardware

• A small hypervisor node running Proxmox
• A NAS for bulk storage and backups
• Managed switch + a reverse proxy for clean internal HTTPS

What it runs

• Self-hosted apps behind a Caddy reverse proxy (see the blog for the TLS write-up)
• Split-DNS so everything gets a tidy .home hostname
• Scheduled backups, because past-me always regrets skipping them

What’s next

• Proper monitoring and alerting, so the lab tells me when something breaks
• A documented, repeatable rebuild, written up step by step in the Homelab from Zero series
• Backups that are tested, not just scheduled
